Happy Ag Days! In partnership with Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue the Sonoma County Winegrape Commision exhibited at Sonoma County Farm Bureau's Sonoma County Ag Days this week. Kids and classes from all over the county visited our booth the past two days to hear 13 year old Christian Karren discuss the importance of preserving our local wildlife such as Barn Owls. Christian has been leading his family’s owl preservation program on their vineyard. He is the perfect spokesman for kids to learn all about native Sonoma County wild predatory species such as the Grey Fox and Barn Owl and how they help with pest management on vineyards and farms. This is Sustainability at work! Thanks to all the children and teachers who stopped by to hear Christian’s story.
